What Causes Swelling In The Ankles And Calf?

My ankle is swollen. I had knee replacement surgery 3 weeks ago. Off and on my ankle and calf have swollen. Had an ultrasound for blood clots last Monday, but it did not show up anything. I went back to work today for 4 hours - secretary job. I came home put my ankle up with ice on it.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello and welcome to Healthcamagic.
This indicates possible deep vein thrombosis and you need to do dopler ultrasound to rule this out. This is commonly seen after knee surgery and it may cause serious consequences so further work up is required.
I hope I have answered your query. I wish you a nice day.
