Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My lady, Judy, is 82 years of age, and she has until recently been quite healthy; however, she is now beset by swollen feet and ankles. These have caused her to stop her usual 40 min per day walk. While heat and elevationappear to give temporary local relief once they are gone the swelling returns. What should she do and what should she not do? Standing by, Dr.! Scott Smith
Hi Swollen feet and ankles can be due to many reasons . Keeping her age in mind she can be having some cardiovascular issue . Is she hypertensive ? Diabetic ? Any family history of heart disease ?
