What Causes Swelling In The Ball Of The Foot After Shortening The 2nd Toe?

I had surg on the 2 of this month extinsive neuromas removal and shortning the 2nd toe the swelling on the ball of my foot is still really bad and some of the bruising is still purple the pain doesnt seem to be getting better I had back surg in 2007 and this seems worse then that is this normal
