What Causes Swelling In The Cheeks While Chewing Snuff?
I have been chewing snuff for about 6-7 years it's time to quit I have noticed my face alwasy feels swollen around my cheek bones lately after not chewing for a while. my gums are healing good but should i be worried about my face swelling now that i have stopped chewing
a few possibilites. One is that the muscles have just developed. and you get plain muscle fatigue/soreness. Another is the same thing... but involving the salivary glands in the cheeks that can enlarge with chronic use. While there can be gum or other areas of infection, it would feel... infected with heat/pus/PAIN. Cancer/tumors/etc. are not BOTH sides evenly. So, I think the rather minor possibilities are the only likely ones. hope this helps
