What Causes Swelling In The Collar Bone And Chest Pain?

I have a swelling of the collarbone at the sternum end and sometime I feel dull ache in chest. it is definitely not the heart because I had that checked out at Whangarei base Hospital last week. I also had a chest exray done They are booking me in for a Scan ASAP. What do you suggest?

1. Swelling in the collar bone (clavicle) may be due to fluid accumulation or enlargement in and around the collar bone.

2. Since they have asked for the scan urgently thus one should check with inflammed lymph nodes ( lymphadenitis) or lymphadenopathy due to infection of lungs/ pleura, airways or throat.
. systemic viral infection
. tumors like lymphoma or leukemia (Hodgkins disease)

3. Also Check with a thyroid ultrasound, chest x-ray
