What Causes Swelling In The Eye Making It To Shut?

niece complained of eye swelling 3 weeks ago. her eye swelled shut. she then went to dr., she ran fever and tested negative for strep. Then a few days later, developed large red and purple welts all over body. Tested for strep again and came up positive. Antibotics didn't work. Experienced large red and purple welts all over for a few days. Got a steroid shot and some more antibotics. Swelling, redness went down for a few days. She no longer has strep, supposedly but her ankles, knees swelled and she has large purple welts all over again. Her face, ankles, hands, fingers, knees....everywhere. Complained it hurt to walk. She doesn't have a fever but doctors can't figure out what is wrong. Did blood tests today with allergist and will see dermatologist on Wednesday. ANy ideas? She's 13.

Complete blood test may be done. it appears to be auto immune disorder. may be given systemic antibiotic orally like ezy throcin 500mgper her age. she should take nemulid orally. she may take antihistaminic like benadryl dose asrecomanded for her age. this can be given for ten days, then she should improve.
