What Causes Swelling In The Eyes And Inflammation On The Cheek?

On saturday i was using a spinning nail file on my dog, ive done this for her forever, but she wasnt having it and jumped all around i held on to her thinking she was gonna fall then the spinning thing hit me right in the eye and now 2 days later my eye is of course pink around that one spot (alittle red) but now one cheek is pink too and my eye is alittle puffy and my cheekand eye are both warm to the touch idk whats going on, it feels more pain than when it happened (also my cheek is kinda numb along with my eyelid)

Hi,

Well, it looks like inflammation of the soft tissues due to injury caused by the nail file over the cheek leading to redness and pain although at times it can become aggravated a bit late.

As far as the eye is concerned it has to be checked just to confirm there are no deep injuries if the vision is alright and there is no severe pain. But an examination is a must.

For now, do cool compresses over the cheek and over the closed eye to reduce inflammation and take anti-inflammatory painkillers like Advil. If needed further medications can be given after examination.
