What Causes Swelling In The Eyes And Throbbing Headache Post Treatment For Flu?
Hi doctor. I was down with flu and light cough a day before . So I took 2000mg of Vitamin C and two tablets of Panadol Actifast (Containing 500mg of paracetamol and 173mg sodium/ per tablet). Right after I took those supplements,I had a 20 minutes nap and woke up with a swollen eye on my right. The swollen has decreased overnight but my head is still throbbing. What couldve caused the swollen eye? And any suggestion to overcome my headache?

First and most important thing is don’t panic. When a patient comes to me with such symptoms, I suggest to her to take a urine pregnancy test. I would suggest you the same. You can get it done easily by following the instructions given on the pack that is available in the market.
About the different symptoms you mentioned, these are highly suggestive that you are not pregnant as the menstrual bleeding is present and its normal to have or not to have tenderness over breasts during your periods. Although next thing after taking the urine pregnancy test you can do is, visit a gynaecologist and explain the situation to her. If necessary she will suggest you to do further tests like ultrasound and other blood tests.
