What Causes Swelling In The Face After Taking Ibugesic?

Hello doctor..
my 3 year old daughter was struggling from tooth ache and I was advised to give ibugesic drops.. after having that her lips and right side cheek and eye was swollen.. she has fever as well... I gave her 3 dose of medicin so far.. 5ml 3 times ...later when I got to know it was the medicin reaction I stopped and now I am giving her crocin for fever..the swelling comes and then subsides.. she vomited once and has no other symptoms other then that.. please advise...

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain in case if your daughter is having a decayed tooth causing pain then it can be due to abscess formation leading to swelling on cheek, eye and lips..

Secondly it can also be due to allergic reaction to Ibuprofen..

But exact cause can be ruled out only after a proper clinical evaluation and investigations like x ray and blood tests..
