What Causes Swelling In The Feet And Soreness In The Back During Pregnancy?

Hi, I am 33 weeks pregnant. The other day i was kept in hospital for frequent BH that were 5min apart, lasting 1min each. I was released yesterday when they slowed down. They are back to being random. I was given steroid injections yesterday and today. I have noticed a significant decrease in vaginal discharge, my feet become very swollen, i have a sore back that feels like something is pinching a nerve every now and then, i have shortness of breath (especially when laying on my side/back) and i feel as if i might have a fever. Any relation between these symptons? Thank you

Hello,

It may be due to pregnancy.

As in the second half of pregnancy inferior vena cava is compressed by the womb.

This may lead to swelling over limbs.

As baby size increases which put extra pressure on the back causes back pain.

Apply diclofenac gel or ointment locally over back.

Take proper rest. Keep the leg elevated.
