General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

You can wait for next few days for you leg swelling to reduce. Meanwhile anti inflammatory medicine can be prescribed for five days.

If your leg swelling is persistent or recurrent than x ray for can be done for primary work up.

If x ray comes normal than serum total protein estimation, EKG, serum TSH estimation and urea estimation need to be done for further work up according to need after examination.

Hope I have answered your question.
Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards
