What Causes Swelling In The Gums After Wisdom Tooth Extraction?
My son had wisdom teeth extracted 2 days ago. He hasn t had much pain but is quite swollen. The right side is more swollen then left and right cheek is bright red (flushed) and warm to the touch. Is this normal or should I be concerned? Doesn t have fever. Has taken meds as prescribed
After wisdom tooth extraction some amount of swelling occurs and limited mouth opening is common...
Immediately after wisdom tooth extraction apply a ice over it to reduce a Inflammation.... Antiinflamatory drugs can use for it.. If pain is there than consult a dentist again for oral examination. If you have problem of swelling around a wisdom tooth site and tender to touch that may be because of dry socket...Oral irrigation helpful in this condition...
Maintain proper hygiene of oral cavity.. Use a soft brushe .. Avoid trauma..
