What Causes Swelling In The Left Arm After Installation Of A Pacemaker?
My husband had a pacemaker installed a week ago. He is experiencing some swelling in his left arm and hands. While in the hospital, the nurse stuck him pretty good while trying to insert iv. He has a knot around that area, and it is sore as well. The pacemaker is on his left side as well as all of his complaints. Should we be concerned, or just wait it out til his next doc visit, which is five days away?

As per my clinical experience, the current presentation suggests the swelling in left arm is related with thrombophlebitis after vein puncture.
