What Causes Swelling In The Left Leg After Gallbladder Removal?
what would cause left leg to swell after gall bladder removal? started in the calf and now is also ankle and foot have had ultra sounds and c scans they cannot find a blood clot but have put me on a blood thinner as a precaution very painful foot swells up like a balloon has been going on for more than a month not getting better have been to ER twice and to different Drs as referred by my physician none have an answer
Hopefully not the blood thinners that have an over 5% serious risk per year. So, there are a variety of tests for a blood clot but having abnormal veins is more commonly the cause of varicose veins. If the veins look like ten miles of the bad roadmap, you've got that. The treatments are somewhat complicated. But propping the leg up usually is a good way to lower it.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Matt Wachsman
