Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I fell in our home 3 weeks ago this Thursday mo broken bones I fell on all 4. Er X rays say no broken bones. Yet my Leg is very swallon and hard. Knee has areas if touched just right I get electrical sh o c. Feelings running through it. What could be the cause of swelling and electrical shock feelings also.
Even though there re no broken bones, which is great, there my still be injury to the soft tissues. This includes the muscles, ligaments, fatty tissue in the legs. Injury and inflammation cause can be associated with selling even if there re no broken res.
The nerves may have been injured with the fall but this should be temporary since they have not been severed. It can sometimes take 6 weeks to 2 months for nerves to return to normal and there re medications that can dampen the nerve response.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Michelle Gibson James,
General & Family Physician
