What Causes Swelling In The Legs While Suffering From Diabetes And Hypertension?

Hello. My brother is 48 yrs old with diabetes. He has migraines , we think caused by High BP. His BP is 195/114 and has been as high as 228/120 4 days ago. He does take medication and has it adjusted. His legs and ankle is extremely swollen. What is he dealing with?

He might be having congestive cardiac failure due to high blood pressure. Of maybe a local problem in the legs like deep vein thrombosis. Important to consult a cardiologist or MD medicine and get x Ray echocardiography done along with color doppler of leg vessels
