What Causes Swelling In The Lower Leg And Shortness Of Breath?

my friend has one leg swollein from the knee doown red and purple,toes are blue, shortness of breath upon exesrcion,she says she feels ill in general .there is a sore {no discharge} on her calf where she thinks she was bit by a spider severial monthes ago, it heald up but she bumped that spot pretty hard on corner of a bed and woke up the next morning in this condition. her B.P, is 192 \132 pR 109 should she go to the ER or wait 3 days to see her PCP ?

Hi,

You must see a doctor, this may indicate deep vein thrombosis. This is life-threatening condition especially if pulmonary embolism occur. So you should not wait and see the ER as soon as possible.
