What Causes Swelling In The Lower Legs?

My legs from the knee down have been swollen for 2 days. I had a stent put in my veins in my legs in February 2017. I have ulcers that don t heal on my right foot and the stent was supposed to help them but didn t . I ve had problems with circulation since 1994. I take Trental and Plavix. The swelling gets better with my feet on the bed or wrapped but continues when I get up.

Hi,

This happens with varicose veins. You should consult with your operating surgeons as if the stents are working well there is no need to worry. You should continue the wrapping up of legs.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
