What Causes Swelling In The Neck Post Thyroglossal Cyst Removal?

i had a thyroglossel cyst from my neck removed 1 week ago.the scar is healing but iv noticed i have a very hard pebble shaped swelling and my neck it is red and sore,my temperature is 36c,my doctor says its fine (over the phone),but im unsure,can you help.thankyou

I have gone through your question.
I can understand your concern.

You have thyroglossal cyst. You have gone for surgery to remove it. Post surgery swelling may be due to hematoma or edema. So don't worry much about that. Just wait for few days. If it remains persistent or increased further then consult your doctor and plan accordingly.
