What Causes Swelling In The Right Side Of Abdomen?

I have swelling in the right upper quadrant of my stomach? No fever, no pain, no gas, no constipation. Just a noticeable swelling on the right side which extends (somewhat) across the front of my stomach. I did hurt my back several weeks ago and still have some slight pain on the right side in my back.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi.
Thanks for your query.

The swelling alone in the right upper abdomen with no other symptoms can be due many reasons.
Since there is a history of injury to the back there is a possibility of denervation to this segment of the abdominal wall causing loosening of the muscles and resultant bulge.
Another possibility is a diffuse lipoma.
You have no symptoms of fever, pain, gas or constipation, practically NO symptoms at all .

Get an MRI of the spine and the abdominal wall to get a right diagnosis and treatment under a care of a General Surgeon.
