What Causes Swelling In The Shoulder And Pinched Nerve Spasms In The Neck?

i have edema on my shoulders, and i did some hot pads about 10 days ago because i have a pinched nerve on my left side at the back of my neck and part of the treatment is using hot pad at night in bed in which i usually sleep on so after a few days of doing that i developed swelling on my cheeks down to my shoulders, is there anything I can do to make this go away?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Your symptoms seem to be related to a pinched nerve.

I recommend using anti-inflammatory medication such as Ibuprofen.

I also recommend using hot compresses for local relief.

I suggest using stretching exercises.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi,
