Internal Medicine Specialist 's  Response
Hello,

Altered voice with throat swelling may be due to pharyngitis or adenoids hypertrophy or turbinate hypertrophy or sinusitis or eustachian tube block or polyps or Tonsilar enlargement etc.

Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is. Avoid cool drinks and freeze water. Avoid ice creams and chocolates.

Use water vapour inhalation and salt water gargling thrice a day for five days.

If symptoms not improved please consult your ENT specialist he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
