I am a 25 year old male. Weigh around 270 lbs and am around 5 9 tall. I woke up one morning with a sore throat on my left side and didnt really think to much of it. Well the next day I woke up and the right side was very sore. After about 2 days of this I looked into the mirror and could see a white puss pocket on my right tonsil and could see that it was swollen. I went to the ER as I am currently in another stated other than my home state. The doctor looked at my throat and prescibed me penicilian vk 500mg. This is my 3rd day of being on meds with not really much inprovement. How long till the swelling will go down. I also had tonsilits once about a year and a half ago
Your symptoms seem to be related to tonsillitis which is an infection of the tonsils. I see that you have already started a cycle of antibiotics. I suggest using anti inflammatory medications such as Acetaminophen to relieve the inflammation. I also recommend using a throat spray for local application.
