What Causes Swelling In The Wrist Of A Heart Patient?

my mother is in rehab after an expansion of a stroke. she already had weakness on left side. now her right hand/wrist is very swollen. Rehab center is sending mobile X-ray. a relative is concerned this could be blood clot. not sure if we should ice it, but are elevating it.

Hi,

It can be a ganglion cyst. Blood clot is very unlikely.

However, you can go for an ultrasound scan for detailed evaluation.
