What Causes Swelling In Tonsils And Lymph Nodes Of Groin?
My question is. About a month ago my right tonsil swelled and i can swollow still but it is irritating. Then just a few days ago a what appears to be a lymph node began to swell slightly in my groin and cause discomfort. I thought it was an inguinal hernia but relaized it was a lymph node..im not sure whats going on
tonsils are a lymphoid tissue and they usually enlarges on account of infection; so also, the inguinal lymph nodes. But both drains different parts of body. Upper respiratory tract infection is associated with tonsillar enlargement. Lower abdomen, testis, lower extremities infection may result in to the hypertrophy of the lymph nodes of the inguinal region.
