What Causes Swelling In Vocal Cord?

Hello .. I am shiv from nagpur . i had jst visited an ent specialist ..for vocal cords check up . He told that u have swelling in vocal cords . No hoarseness is there in the voice . jst there is improper voice coming .. He prescribed me with roxid 150 mg and solvin ... What is ur opinion???? Will cords will be k by rest .it has been 6 days i took voice rest

Hi,
From history it seems that there might be having some edema on vocal cord due to having some throat infection.
As there is no hoarseness of voice, chances of having nodule onvocal cord is less likely.
Continue with medicine and give rest to vocal cord.
Do salt water or Listerine gargles.
Within 2-3 days you will be alright.
Ok and take care.
