What Causes Swelling Inside The Belly Button Post Piercing?

I have a belly piercing and the inside of my belly button started to swell and it s been like this for 2 days. What caused it to swell and what should I do to heal it? By the way I ve had the piercing for 4 years and this is the 1st time this has happened.

Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, chances of infection is very likely and this can be managed with the medicines given below,
1) Tab Ibuprofen 400 mg three times in day
2) Tab Cefdinir 300 mg twice in day for five days
keep the area clean, take care for pus formation, if you find something like this then this need to be clean very well, take care and have a nice day.
