What Causes Swelling Labia After Using Silicone Dildo?

I bought a silicone dildo today because I was worried about the bacteria that could collect from the electric tooth brushes I used before. I figured I better play it safe so I don t get an infection, but after I gave my toy a shot, washed myself, I noticed that the left side of my labia is completely swollen. It s really swollen, pink, almost looks like a blister. It doesn t hurt or itch it s just very swollen. This never happened before I ve never used a dildo before. I don t think this is normal, I don t know if I m allergic to silicone. Family Doc.org s flow chart says it could be a cyst or a fungal infection? I don t know! What?! Please help!

Hello,

As per my clinical experience, if the swelling of labia was just after the use of Silicone dildo that suggests the ill effect of the device. Though there can be cyst swelling, but that does not pop up just after the use of dildo, it is already existing and one must notice it before the use of dildo.

Fungal infection would be too early to give infection of sudden onset after the dildo insertion. The most common possibility sounds to be improper use of new dildo, excess pressure over left labia side during penetration or while switching on the vibration mode causing venous congestion over that part followed by swelling.
