What Causes Swelling Of Biceps After Injecting Meth In Other Arm?

my friend injected meth in his right arm. now the left arm, back of the bicep is swelling. feels fine otherwise but says the spot hurts. i know the veins thin over time. so can it swell if there was a previous "miss" in the left arm? does it work its way through and push out in the weaker spots? no chest pain, no shortness of breath. no other pain or cramping in the arm. we know its best to quit. thank you for your time

Previous injections, with deep infection or changes in circulation certainly are common. In theory infection of the vessels or the valves of the heart (serious) can cause bacteria to be in the blood and travel basically anywhere. This is a serious disorder.
