What Causes Swelling Of Elbow, Sore And Achy Throat?

Hi there, I have a quick (I hope!) question. My elbow has been swollen for the past 2 days. Hot to the touch with a noticeable line of delineation in about a 3-inch circle. I had a scrape on my elbow last week, not even a cut, that has healed well. However, a friend of mine thinks it s a spider bite. My throat is sore, not swollen but sore and I m feeling achy, like I have the flu. Still, no fever, and I m worried that I m just overreacting. I don t have healthcare (lost it and the house in the divorce), so I m hoping to take care of this on my own. Any suggestions? Thanks very much! Regina
