What Causes Swelling Of Face And Tooth Pain While Being Diagnosed With Sinus?
Hello.I have been having acute sinus issues since late August. Have been given antibiotics and it clears but comes back after awhile. My sinus issues are concentrated on the left side of my head. I have swelling of my face, pressure at the temple area and behind my eye. I also get very painful teeth aching and swelling as well as absessing of the upper back molers. I have been to the emergencyroom, have had x-rays, catscan and have been to the dentist to rule out dental problems. In the ER the DR thought it was my teeth. The dentist said it wasn t my teeth and strongly suggested a Catscan or MRI. It took awhile to get the catscan and I was actually feeling better and of course the catscan came back fine. This was last week and of course I am having the same problems coming back again. My question is should What should I do next? Should I see an ENT specialist? And could my contact lenses be affecting this also?
As per your complain if you have a Sinusitis problem more specifically Maxillary sinusitis as the maxillary sinuses are located one on either side of nose and it can lead to pain in teeth on the effected side and it is known as SINUS TOOTHACHE..
It occurs when there is inflammation in the sinus leading to fluid accumulation and pressure build up leading to swelling on the face and pain and pressure on teeth and the hallmark feature is that the pain is not specific to one tooth and is experienced in all teeth on affected side..
In case if there is no tooth cavity or infection found the pain is due to sinus problem and for this you should consult an ENT surgeon to get evaluated and get the treatment done to dissipate the fluid and relieve the congestion and pain caused due to sinusitis..
Hope your query is solved..
