Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
most often especially during winters i feel my face to be swollen when i get up in the morning and remain the same till half of day......sometimes i feel it can be due to some stomach problem because when i get up i feel too much hungry...plz can you help??
Understanding your concern. As per your query swelling of face during winters is due to inflammation of skin leading to Cholinergic Utricaria which could be due to number of factors such as exposure to sun and heat, extreme hot shower and hot and spicy food due to which there is stomach upset as well. I would suggest you to avoid excessive exposure to warm climate and sun exposure. You should take 10 mg Cetrizine tablet as this is antihistamine to counteract allergic reaction. Drink plenty of fluids to nourish your body. Take diet rich in multivitamins and have soft and bland food in diet for few days. Try to include more fibers in diet. Visit dermatologist once if symptoms keeps on persisting and get it examined. Start treatment after proper diagnosis.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get Well Soon.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
