Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain swollen gum and cheek along with fever and bad taste in mouth along with headache that can be radiating pain from the region of wisdom tooth are all appearing due to infection..

There is a possibility that there is some left out root pieces or foreign body impaction in the extraction socket and it gets flared up leading to pain and the symptoms that he is experiencing..

Earwax production is although not due to dental problem while excess sweating can be related to temperature changes in body due to infection..

I would therefore suggest you to consult an Oral Surgeon and get a proper evaluation done along with proper x rays and blood tests to rule out the exact cause and get treated accordingly..
As of now he can take Tylenol for fever and Ibuprofen for pain and headache..
Do warm saline gargles and do cool compresses over the cheek..
Gargle with Antiseptic mouthwash..
Maintain a good oral hygiene and take a nutritious diet and sufficient rest..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
