What Causes Swelling Of Hands At Night?

What could it mean if at random points of the past few days...noticed more at night.. that my hands feel slightly swollen. They physically appear to be only slightly chubby but i can normally see my bones n my hands usually look pretty skeletal. It feels tight in the bends of my fingers when i make a fist and there is a definite extra padding on my fingertips. This slight swelling isn't apparent anywhere else though. Possibly in my face as well but it doesn't seem so.
