What Causes Swelling Of Head And Neck In Patients With Colon Cancer?

My 52 yo son was diagnosis of stage 3 colon cancer, has had 3 treatments, the last two treatments he developed swelling in his head and neck. Has some problems talking. His dAughter called ER they said it was somewhat normal but if he had problems call EMS, to me that sounds a little late to see someone with these symptoms

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

The swelling you refer to can be secondary lymph node involvement/lymphadenema or reaction to the medication in third cycle.

It needs to be seen carefully & treated earliest. I don't feel it's late to consult any time for health problem. You can move forward &consult the EMS &get satisfied.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
