What Causes Swelling Of Scar And Bleeding After Hernia Surgery?

I had an inguinal hernia surgery almost 2 years ago. Over the last month, my scar has swollen up, bruised, and periodically bleeds. It had even peeled too. It went away for a day and looked like it was back to normal, but it has acted up again with even more blood this time. What do you think could be the cause of this?
