Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Swelling On Foot And In Between The Toes?
I have swelling on top of my foot and between my toes that has moved up to the front of my ankle. It is apparent there is fluid under the skin. I just started using Orencia after stopping it about four months ago and trying Xeljans. I have an appmt on Thurs to have it looked at.
I read carefully your query and understand your concern.
A swollen toe could be the result of trauma or infection or it could be a symptom of a condition such arthritis. I suggest to check the rheumatoid factor level for further evaluation Meanwhile,I suggest using anti inflammatory medications such as Acetaminophen to relieve the inflammation. I also suggest using cold compresses for local application.
Hope my answer was helpful.
If you have further queries feel free to contact me again.
Kind regards!
