What Causes Swelling On One Side Of Penis?

My girlfriend and I had a lot of intimate time yesterday, she used her hand on me twice (once in the shower, once out, both times very firm and rough and also dry) and once through protected sex today I have swelling on one side of my penis. No pain, no trouble going to the bath room. What is this? And is there anything I need to do to prevent it, or help it go away?
