Hi - I have swelling on the left side of my back where the curve runs from my neck down to my rib cage on the left hand side. The swelling is not hard but is getting more uncomfortable as the days go by. Sleeping on that side has become uncomfortable. I went for a back massage a few months ago and that was an area specifically where the masseuse worked on. She also did cupping on my back.
Welcome at HCM Welcome at HCM I have gone through your and being your physician i completely understand your health concerns. what is ur age and sex?for how long u are suffering from it? any other associated problem? like diabetes or hyptertension? any history of TB in past or exposure to TB? are u having fever? any other lymph node swelling in ur body?is swelling on both sides of neck or not? In my opinion, if there is no colour change like redness and tenderness then it may be a lipoma, which is a benign thing. But it has to be labelled after examination by a SURGEON. other probabilities may include cyst or abscess meet your SURGEON for proper management and use acetaminophen to relieve pain meanwhile stay calm get well soon Hope your query is adequately addressed if you still have any feel free to ask Regards Dr Saad Sultan
