Hi..i have a back issue that i honestly dont understand cleary.some call it hunchback.Basically the right side of my back is bigger than my left side like a swelling..I had a surgery when i was 10.They said it was to prevent further growth. They also said it would be risky or almost impossible to remove it but i would like to have it removed since i feel it holds me back sometimes..Is removal by surgery possible??Thankyou.

What Causes Swelling On The Back?
Hello, * The possibility of surgical cure depends upon the type of pathology. * Here the type of swelling can be soft tissue or bony as per the description. * The clear delineation of the issue must be obtained with the MRI of the area and henceforth judgement can be made. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Take care Regards, Dr Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
