What Causes Swelling On The Face And Around The Eyes?

My 8 year old daughter s face is swollen - especially around the eyes and her cheeks. She has a few round raised sores that look like pimples on her face in sporadic areas. She has a reduced appetite and no energy. She has a stuffy nose I assume related to a cold as we all have a cold in the household. Could the rest of the symptoms be a virus associated with the cold? Should we be concerned enough to bring her in to her peiatrician?
