Which I complained many of times being there for 13hrs that she may feel very uncomfortable due to the IV in her foot long story short today is Sunday night and looking at her foot seems alittle swollen and where you see the where they inserted the IV just a 2cm away form a blister. Need an answer please
hi, i m practicing anaesthesiologist. I have gone through the desciption you have mentioned. In small children it is a common practice to put iv canula over foot or leg, as iv cannulation in children is very difficult. but, yes, if there is swelling, redness, and visible blister there, it is advisable to remove that canula and insert somewhere else.
