What Causes Swelling On The Left Knee After Receiving A Cortisone Shot?

I got a cortisone shot on my left knee, on May 4, the pain and swelling increased, fell so bad, I couldn t even walk for three days. I followed , up doctor May 9, who advised knee arthroscopy. But have continued feeling unwell. Daily headaches, pain and bruising. Started having high blood pressure, worst episode started Thursday, ended up in ER on Friday. Is there a possibility that acute coronary syndrome with hypertension is the consequence of the shot?

Hi,

Cortisone shot does not result in any cardiac problems like angina.

You can take analgesics like Tramadol for pain relief.

If symptoms are severe, then it is better to consult an orthopedician and get evaluated.
