What Causes Swelling On The Lips?

Hi I am trying to figure out what is causing my lips to swell up. I have taken this for years for two back and one neck surgeries. I had rods fusions and grafts along with wire in my back. I was hit be a garbage truck. As a RN of 30 years I know some things about meds. I even ask my dtr whom is a DR. But we cant seem to figure out what is causing this. Only thing I can think of is the fillers in the rx. They changed the type of methodone company. I would have thought this would not make a difference but the pharmacist says it could..What do you think?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

You seem to have developed urticaria. It is an allergic reaction and can develop an allergy to any food cloth or any new product which you have recently used. Take an antihistamine tablet like Cetirizine 5mg daily at night for a week. This should help you. Do try to find out the cause. As you mentioned you developed such reactions with egg. Avoiding the causative agent is the only permanent solution.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
