What Causes Swelling On Upper Left Chest?

Hi,

I have very slight swelling, or puffiness, on my upper left chest, between my collarbone and shoulder. It is not painful, although I do have some pain closer to the center of my chest. I also have sinus and ear congestion, and have been undergoing a series of chiropractic sessions to realign my upper back and shoulders. Could this swelling be a side effect of these treatments, or a lymph node issue from the congestion?

Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic.
I can understand your concern.
Possibility of musculoskeletal swelling is more likely.
So follow these steps to make reduce swelling.
1. Avoid movements involving left upper chest.
2. Avoid heavyweight lifting and strenuous exercise.
3. Take painkiller and muscle relaxant drugs like ibuprofen and thiocolchicoside.
4. Apply warm water pad on affected areas.
Don't worry, you will be alright with all these.
If not improving in 2-3 days then consult doctor and get done chest x ray to rule out lung pathology.
Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
