What Causes Swelling, Pain And Bleeding In Lower Lip?

I have dermatitis of the skin have done for years a few months go my lowerlip started to disclour and become pain full when eating or drinking now my top lip is going the same they fo tend to swell a bit then go down also my eyelids are very sor and look discoloured and swollen i attended skin clinic they gave me cream and !an appointment for me to see them in 4months time then 2 weeks later got a letter to take to the photography and digital department to have my lower lip photographed and then monitored why would this be why was it not mentioned at my appointment what could be the reason for this thank you xx
