What Causes Swelling, Purple Color And Pain In Hand?

Well my father just came inside and we noticed that one of his hands looks swollen and has turned purple it also hurts a little in that fleshly area between his finger and his thumb. He said he noticed first noticed it while he was at work, we checked for possible spider bites but couldn t find anything that looks like a bite mark, so we have no idea what it could be and are concerned about whether it could be something serious and we re wondering if he should see a doctor as soon as possible or if it is safe for him to wait and see one in the morning.

Welcome to HCM..

Most probably your father might have soft tissue infection in hand. Kindly you consult dermatologist or general surgeon immediately. After thorough examination and investigations, he might give him perfect treatment.

He might advise him to take bed rest. And he might recommend antibiotics and anti inflammatory drugs. If there is an abscess, incision and drainage may be done. If there is internal disease like DM..treatment may be taken.

For perfect treatment, take your father to expert doctor...ok
