What Causes Swelling, Redness And Itching After Being Bitten By A Spider?

Hello, four days ago I was bitten by a spider. At first, it was like a pimple but right now is a huge hole on my calf with something white in it which looks horrible. The skin is insensible (necrosis). It's swelling, itching and it's red. The hole is open in the last two days, I call 999 yesterday and they told me that there's no place to be afraid of it because it will be okay by the time...? I'm all freaked out because of this view. I'm cleaning it every day and I'm waiting for an appointment with my doctor. It hurts a lot and the blood that came out of it was really dark red, almost like black. Please, help me!

Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain it seems that there is infection at the site of spider bite and white at the site of bite seems to be due to pus formation secondary to infection..
You need not to worry as it will get resolved with medication and maintaining proper cleaning and asepsis..
You should start cleaning the area with antiseptic solution and also apply Triple Antibiotic Ointment over it..
If there is pain you can apply numbing gel..
In case if it does not resolve then a course of antibiotics and anti inflammatory painkillers like Ibuprofen can be given for resolution..
