What Causes Swishing Noise In Ear?

Hi. I hear a swishing noise in my right ear when I move the right side of my jaw up and down. I have had a little pain in the part of the ear where it narrows, but only when I touch it. I seem to be able to hear fine from that ear. Any ideas on what it is? Thank you.

Hi.
Swishing noise in the ear due to opening and closing of the jaw can be due to two reasons:::
Firstly, the Eustachian tube gets opened during jaw movement and the air is gushed in to cause this swishing sound.
Secondly : Since you have got tenderness at the external ear, it is possible that the edema has partially blocked it, and by opening the jaw it opens up a bit to cause this sound.
I would advise such a patient to consult an ENT Surgeon to get a proper diagnosis and treatment accordingly.
