What Causes Swollen And Dark Lips?

my lips swell have been swelling off and on for several years and I notice my lips are pertruding more because of it. My lips have become much darker, because of the inflamation and crusting that is associated with the swelling. The inside of my upper lip have 2 small Lumps on each side that is a blue black color and it swells up often as well. Im becoming self concious about my lips.

Hi.
As per your case history you are having angioedema leading to recurrent swelling of lips.
My treatment advice is -
1. Avoid sun exposure and use a lip balm with spf more than 15.
2. Take a vitamin b12 supplement once daily for 3 months.
3. Apply a triamcinolone gel on dark part of lips twice daily.
4. Take an antihistamine medication like levocetrizine when swelling of lips occur.

Thanks.
